Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- thyme, to taste
- 4 cups chicken stock
- 4 cups cooked chicken, chopped to bite-size pieces
- 10 ounces frozen peas
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- DUMPLINGS
- 2 cups Bisquick
- 1 cup milk
How To Make chicken and dumpling casserole

Step 1Add butter to a large pan. Once melted, add the onion and sauté for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute.

Step 2Sprinkle in the flour and season with salt. Add the chicken stock and cook until thickened.

Step 3Add the chicken and peas and cook for a couple of minutes.

Step 4Add the heavy cream. Taste and adjust for salt and pepper.

Step 5Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray and 9x15 pan with cooking spray.

Step 6Pour the chicken mixture into the pan.

Step 7Mix the Bisquick with the milk. Drop by spoonfuls on top of the chicken mixture.

Step 8Bake for about 40 minutes or until the dumplings are cooked.
