I created this new chicken bake recipe. It's inspired by Kinder's red jalapeno garlic seasoning and is cheesy.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cubed process American cheese
  • 16 ounces uncooked mostaccioli
  • 6 tablespoons red jalapeno garlic seasoning, divided
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, sliced into 1/2 strips
  • 5 small fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

How To Make cheesy red jalapeno garlic chicken bake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Coat a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add cubed American cheese and 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese; mix well.
  • Step 3
    Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook mostaccioli in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain.
  • Step 4
    Transfer to a large bowl, combine 2 tablespoons red jalapeno garlic seasoning and remaining grated parmesan cheese; toss well.
  • Step 5
    Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add raw chicken strips, chopped jalapenos, and minced garlic. Cook and saute for 6 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink.
  • Step 6
    Stir in 2 tablespoons red jalapeno garlic seasoning, dry onion soup mix, black pepper, and garlic sauce. Remove from heat.
  • Step 7
    Heat the margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Step 8
    Combine heavy cream, half and half, cream cheese, remaining red jalapeno garlic seasoning, and 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese; stir well and simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Step 9
    Reduce to low heat, add cooked mostaccioli and chicken strip mixture; mix well until combined.
  • Step 10
    Pour into a prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Top with the remaining shredded cheeses.
  • Step 11
    Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
