Ingredients
- 2 cups chicken, cooked chopped
- 1 package penne pasta
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon chicken seasoning
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 cup milk
- 1 can small green chilies
- 1 small jar of pimentos
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- salt and pepper to taste
- extra shredded cheese for topping
- crushed saltines
How To Make cheesy chicken penne casserole

Step 1Boil pasta according to package and drain

Step 2Preheat oven to 350 grease a casserole dish and add cooked pasta

Step 3Drain the chilies and pimento into the chicken stock

Step 4Heat butter over med heat add flour and spices and cook for a minute.

Step 5Whisk in milk and chicken stock. Stir until thickened

Step 6Remove from heat and stir in cheese and stir until melted.

Step 7Stir in chicken, green chilies and pimentos add salt and pepper to taste

Step 8Pour sauce mixture over pasta and add sour cream stir to combine everything together

Step 9Top with shredded cheese then crushed saltines. Grate some butter over the crackers and bake for 30 minutes
