This is a great recipe for leftover chicken. It is so cheesy and good

Ingredients

  • CASSEROLE
  • 3 cups left over cooked chicken cut into cubes
  • 16 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 medium onion chopped
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms sliced
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • TOPPING
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 1 1/2 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese

How To Make cheesy chicken noodle casserole

  • Step 1
    cook noodles in boiling salted water for 15 minutes then add the frozen peas and cook 5 more minutes. Drain and set aside. Add oil to skillet. Add the onions and mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are browned and onions are translucent.
  • Step 2
    Mix the mushrooms and onion mixture with the cream of chicken soup, left over chicken, sour cream, shredded cheddar, cream, and chicken and pea mixture. Spray a 9 by 15 pan and spread the mixture into the pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 3
    In a skillet add the butter and garlic. Cook until butter is melted and garlic is fragrant. Add the panko and cook until browned. Add the Parmesan and remove from heat.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle the mixture on top of the casserole. Bake for 30 minutes
