This is a new burger casserole recipe that combines bread cheese for the first time with diced deli honey ham and Parmesan covered macaroni.

10 ozbread cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes,divided

16 ozdry elbow macaroni

2 cshredded Parmesan cheese, divided

2 lbground round

1 mdred bell pepper, seeded and chopped

2 mdshallots, peeled and diced

2 TbspDijon mustard mixed with brown sugar

1 TbspCreole seasoning

1packet dry onion soup mix

3 tspgarlic pepper

1 Tbspmargarine
-
1 cheavy cream
-
3/4 chalf and half

8 ozcream cheese, softened

3/4 csour cream
How To Make bread cheese burger casserole

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add diced honey ham and half of the cubed bread cheese; mix well.

3Cook macaroni according to package direction; drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Add 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese. Set aside.

4Heat ground round in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for 5 minutes or until are no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.

5Reduced to low heat. Stir in chopped red bell peppers, diced shallots, Dijon mustard/brown sugar, Creole seasoning, onion soup mix, and garlic pepper. Remove from heat.

6Heat margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Combine heavy cream, half and half, cream cheese, sour cream, and remaining cubed bread cheese. Stir well and bring it to boil for 5 minutes until thickened.

7Add ground beef mixture and Parmesan macaroni mixture; mix well for 3 minutes until blended. Remove from heat.

8Pour over a prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle with remaining shredded parmesan cheese.

9Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely for 10 minutes.
