Ingredients

  • 1 box 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 3 cups canned crushed tomato
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 2-3 cups grated cheddar cheese

How To Make beef macaroni and cheese

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350
  • Step 2
    cook macaroni to package directions
  • Step 3
    Drain macaroni and set aside
  • Step 4
    Heat oil in skillet
  • Step 5
    Add peppers, onions, garlic and saute until soft
  • Step 6
    Add ground beef and saute until browned
  • Step 7
    Add the tomato, salt, pepper, and other spices
  • Step 8
    In a large bowl, combine macaroni and beef mixture.
  • Step 9
    Spread into 9x13 pan.
  • Step 10
    Top with cheese
  • Step 11
    Bake 20-25 minutes
