How To Make all purpose patty melt casserole
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
-
Step 2Coat the bottom and sides of a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
-
Step 3Chop 5 toasted brioche bread slices into 2-inch chunks. Arrange at the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup shredded Gouda cheese and 2 tablespoons of all-purpose seasoning.
-
Step 4Process the remaining toasted bread slices in a food processor until they're coarse crumbs. Set aside.
-
Step 5In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 6 minutes until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
-
Step 6Season with 2 tablespoons of all-purpose seasoning, garlic powder, and hamburger seasoning. Remove from heat. Spoon into the prepared baking dish evenly.
-
Step 7Melt margarine and 1 tablespoon all-purpose seasoning in the same skillet over medium heat. Add sliced Vidalia onion and cook, stirring frequently, until soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes.
-
Step 8Arrange sauteed Vidalia onion over the ground beef mixture in the baking dish.
-
Step 9In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, half and half, cream cheese, honey mustard, beaten eggs, and remaining all-purpose seasoning; mix well for 4 minutes. Spread over the beef mixture evenly.
-
Step 10Top with crumbled brioche bread crumbs and remaining shredded Gouda cheese.
-
Step 11Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
