I created this newest chicken casserole recipe, it's based on Kinder's All Purpose seasoning, with a side of lettuce-only salad, and some dinner rolls will be an A+.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Gouda cheese, shredded and divided
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 7 tablespoons all-purpose seasoning, divided
  • 16 ounces uncooked angel hair pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into 1/2 strips
  • 4 fresh white mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 medium carrots, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 8 ounces light cream cheese, softened

How To Make all purpose chicken casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Coat a 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add half of the shredded Gouda cheese, chopped almonds, and 2 tablespoon all purpose seasoning; mix well.
  • Step 3
    Cook angel hair pasta according to package directions; drain.
  • Step 4
    Heat oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add fresh chicken strips. Cook and saute for 4 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink.
  • Step 5
    Stir in sliced mushrooms, chopped carrots, garlic powder, and 2 tablespoons all-purpose seasoning. Remove from heat.
  • Step 6
    Heat margarine and 1 tablespoon all-purpose seasoning in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Step 7
    Add heavy cream, chicken broth, half and half, dry onion soup mix, cream cheese, and remaining all-purpose seasoning; stir well and let it simmer for 7 minutes or until thickened.
  • Step 8
    Add seasoned chicken strip mixture and cooked angel hair pasta; mix well for 3 minutes until combined. Remove from heat.
  • Step 9
    Pour into a prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle with the remaining shredded Gouda cheese.
  • Step 10
    Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
