Ingredients

  • 2
    brats, uncooked and taken out of casing
  • 1/4 c
    chili, no beans
  • CARAMELIZED ONIONS

  • 1/4
    onion, 1/8in thick slices
  • 1 tsp
    oil
  • 1 tsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    beer
  • MUSTARD AIOLI

  • 1 Tbsp
    mayo
  • 1 tsp
    deli mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • dash(es)
    salt and pepper
  • 1 slice
    munster cheese
  • 1
    french style bun

How to Make The "Beautiful Mess" Brat Burger

Step-by-Step

  1. Remove brats from casing and form into a patty. Set aside.
  2. Combine all aioli ingredients and set aside.
  3. In a saute pan combine onions, oil and butter. Cook until turned golden, add in beer and keep cooking until all liquid from beer has been soaked up.
  4. Heat up chili.
  5. Take brat patty and place in a saute pan with a little oil. Cook on each side for about 8 minutes.
  6. To assemble burger: bottom bun, burger, cheese, chili, onions, mustard aioli.
