Sirloin and Pork Burger with Blue Cheese Slaw

This burger has multiple elements of huge flavor - the burger itself made with both beef and pork, the blue cheese slaw and smoky shoepeg corn. You'll want to make this at your next BBQ and wow your guests.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

The blue cheese slaw on top of this burger is great! The cayenne adds a tiny bit of heat, and the slaw cools things down. The combination of beef and pork make the burger super moist. Charred corn adds a sweet crunch, and you can't have a burger without some bacon. This is a very yummy burger.

Note: Since Shea didn't specify to fry or grill the burgers, we grilled ours for extra flavor. The Test Kitchen

  • 1/2 lb
    ground sirloin
  • 1/2 lb
    ground pork tenderloin
  • 1 Tbsp
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pkg
    slaw mix
  • 4 oz
    blue cheese
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
    whole milk
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 lb
    bacon, cooked
  • 2 Tbsp
    salted butter
  • 1 tsp
  • 15 oz
    shoepeg corn

How to Make Sirloin and Pork Burger with Blue Cheese Slaw


  1. Combine the beef and pork with marinade; form into burgers.
  2. Cook burger to desired temperature.
  3. Mix slaw mix with blue cheese with mayo, milk and cayenne; refrigerate.
  4. Melt butter in a small pan over medium high heat and add salt and corn; stir to combine. Continue to stir every few minutes until corn is charred.
  5. Make burger by adding bacon to the bottom bun, a burger, slaw and charred corn.
