quick chop suey

This is the recipe as we got it from my wife's mother. Like most recipes, I of course had to play with this one a bit. I split it so I could do half with veggie crumbles, since I'm a vegetarian, and half with hamburger for my meat-eating wife.

Ingredients For quick chop suey

  • 1 lb
    ground beef (or veggie crumbles)
  • 1 can
    la choy chop suey vegetables
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 1 can
    mushrooms
  • 3 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 4 c
    cooked rice
  • 1 can
    la choy chow mein noodles

How To Make quick chop suey

  • 1
    Cook the rice and brown salted ground beef.

    To ground beef add chop suey vegetables, soy sauce, and mushrooms.
  • 3
    Disolve 3 level tablespoons corn starch in 1 cup cold water and to above mixture.

    Serve over cooked rice and Chinese noodles.
