Love this hamburger, have this at my favorite restaurant, tried to come up with one at home, this is what I came up with, measurements might not be exact for the coleslaw depends on the size of the cabbage too much mayo and sugar will turn your coleslaw watery, so when you put dressing on cabbage before refrigerating it should look dry to get it to come out creamy.

prep time 55 Min
cook time 20 Min
method Stove Top
yield 4 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (made into patties)
  • 8 slices marbled rye bread (grilled)
  • 1/4 cup thousand island dressing
  • COLE SLAW
  • 1 small head of cabbage (cut fine)
  • DRESSING
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

How To Make my favorite hamburger

  • Step 1
Shred cabbage, mix dressing, combine. Refrigerate for an hour before browning hamburgers, so flavors blend.
  • Step 2
Brown hamburgers till done. Grill bread, put thousand island dressing on both sides after grilling.
  • Step 3
Assemble sandwiches, bread, thousand island dressing, hamburger, coleslaw, and another slice of bread. Enjoy!
