homemade italian style cheeseburger
These homemade burgers are so much better than frozen patties. You can have them without cheese or with any of your favorite cheese melted on it. Choose the style rolls you want and there is such a vast variety of toppings and condiments. Sometimes I will make mushroom Swiss burgers or bacon cheddar. The burgers can also be cooked on outdoor grill.

How To Make homemade italian style cheeseburger
-
Step 1In a large bowl, add lean ground beef, raw egg, chopped onion, pepper, garlic salt, parsley flakes, ketchup, grated cheese and bread crumbs.
-
Step 2Mix well with clean hands and shape into burger patties. Make them a little bigger than you would want because they do shrink down after cooking. You should get approx 4 nice size burgers from this recipe.
-
Step 3In a large frying pan, heat a small amount of vegetable oil on medium low heat. Add burger patties, put lid on and cook, turning every so often to brown evenly. When cooked through add cheese slices on each burger and cover until cheese is melted approx 3 minutes. Remove burgers from pan and serve on rolls of your choice with toppings and condiments of your choice.
