You can add slices of mozzarella cheese if you prefer cheeseburgers. I like to serve these with my zucchini fries.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 ounce ground lamb
  • 3 tablespoons chopped black olives
  • 1 cup feta cheese crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mint
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons bell pepper chopped small
  • 1 tablespoon diced onion
  • 2 1/2 cups baby spinach leaves
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 6 tablespoons hummus
  • 6 - hamburger buns

How To Make greek burgers

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground lamb, bell pepper, onion, olives and all the seasonings well.
  • Step 2
    Form into 6 equal sized patties.
  • Step 3
    Heat a skillet over medium high heat or heat a grill to medium high.
  • Step 4
    Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the desired doneness.
  • Step 5
    Spread 1 tablespoon of the hummus on the bottom half of each bun.
  • Step 6
    When the patties are done, place one on each dressed bun.
  • Step 7
    Top with spinach leaves and tomato slices. COver with the top buns. Serve immediately.
