I saw this in a magazine. They have a wonderful flavor, perfect for a cookout. Top with your favorites, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion. Yum!

  • 1 lb
    ground beef (i use ground chuck)
  • 1/2 lb
    bulk italian sausage
  • 1&1/2 c
    mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1/2 c
    onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 c
    barbeque sauce (i used sweet baby ray's)
  • 2 Tbsp
    mustard (i use guldens)
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper (i use fresh cracked)
  • 1/4 tsp

How to Make Great American Grillburgers


  1. Combine ingredient in a medium bowl. Shape into burgers.
  2. Set oven to broil. Place burgers on foil-lined broiler pan.
    Broil 8-10 minutes per side.
  3. Notes: You can expand this recipe to one lb. of sausage. It will make two more burgers.
    This will make 4 1/3 lb. burgers or 6 1/4 lb. burgers. Enjoy!
