Ingredients
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder divided
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 10 3/4 oz can tomato soup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon each salt and cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 6 hot dogs split lengthwise
- 12 hot dog buns
- pickle slices for serving
- 6 slices cheese cut in half
- condiments for hot dogs.
How To Make frankenburger

Step 1In a saucepan saute the onion with half the chili powder and butter until onion is tender. Add 2/3 of the soup, brown sugar, and vinegar. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.

Step 2Meanwhile in a large bowl combine the salt, remaining chili powder and remaining tomato soup. Mix in the ground beef and shape into 12 patties. Press a hot dog into the middle of each patty.

Step 3Place the patties hot dog side down in skillet and cook flipping until the hamburger is no longer pink. Place a half slice of cheese on each hot dog let melt a bit.

Step 4Serve in bun with sauce over top and top with condiments of choice
