chicken burger
These chicken burgers are juicy and delicious. The secret is in adding a grated apple to the ground chicken and then sauteing the patties in rosemary and olive oil. It's always a good idea to toast the inside of the buns to help hold them together while enjoying these juicy burgers.

- 1 teaspoon rosemary, dried

How To Make chicken burger
-
Step 1Place the ground chicken in a large bowl.
-
Step 2Grate the washed and dried, unpeeled apple into the bowl with the chicken. Or grate it onto a cutting board and add it to the bowl. I used a one-sided grater, but you can use a box grater.
-
Step 3Add the poultry seasoning, Mrs Dash, and black pepper. I do not add salt, but you can if your diet permits. I add a pinch of salt to any burger after it is cooked if anyone wants salt.
-
Step 4Toss the seasoned meat and mix to blend well. I use my hands.
-
Step 5Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape into burgers. I just do it by hand. You can also divide the meat into smaller portions to make sliders or into smaller/thinner burgers (8) to serve more people.
-
Step 6Add oil to a large skillet. Add the rosemary. If you have fresh rosemary, you can use it; just double the amount.
-
Step 7Add the sliced onion to the skillet. Let them cook till they are clear. Push them to one side.
-
Step 8Add the burgers to the oil. Cook on each side for about 4 minutes (about 8 minutes total). Stir/toss the onions to let them start to get golden.
-
Step 9Toast the inside of your buns. I do it on the stovetop on a griddle pan. You can do it in a toaster oven, a regular oven, or an air fryer. I spread mayonnaise on the cut sides of the buns to help them brown.
-
Step 10After the buns are toasted, add the mustard to the mayo on one cut side of each bun to make a Dijonaise blend. Put lettuce on the plain mayo side. I add more mayo to the buns if anyone wants extra. I like extra.
-
Step 11Place the onion on the cooked patties in the skillet. Transfer the patties to the bun, placing them onion side up on the lettuce. Top the onion with the Dijonaise side of the bun. Serve.
