Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium red onion diced
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
  • 15 sheets lasagna noodles
  • 16 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup fontina cheese
  • 8 ounces white cheddar cheese shredded
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • dill pickle slices for topping

How To Make cheeseburger lasagna

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet add the olive oil. Add the red onions and garlic cook for 3 minutes. Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink. Drain the fat out and then add the ketchup and mustard. Warm it through. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Heat a large pot of water to boiling add some salt. Cook the lasagna noodles until softened. Drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    In a bowl mix the ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, and the shredded fontina cheese.
  • Step 4
    Preheat oven 350 degrees.Spray a lasagna pan. Place 1/2 cup of tomato sauce in the bottom of the pan. Lay 3 lasagna sheets on pan. Top with 1/3 of the ricotta cheese mixture. Top with white half the white cheddar cheese. Layer three more lasagna noodles. Spread half the meat mixture then the half the sharp cheddar cheese. Spread another 1/2 cup tomato sauce over the sharp cheddar cheese
  • Step 5
    Layer 3 more lasagna noodles. Spread another 1/2 of the ricotta mixture and the rest of the Fontina cheese. Top with 3 more lasagna noodles the rest of the meat mixture and the rest of the ricotta mixture
  • Step 6
    layer the last 3 lasagna noodles the remaining tomato sauce and the rest of the Sharp Cheddar cheese.
  • Step 7
    Bake for one hour. remove from oven and let sit 20 minutes to set up. Top with sliced pickles
