aussie burger with beetroot
Origins of Australian burgers with sliced beets (beetroot) is unclear, but beetroot on burgers had its heyday in the ’50s and ’60s. McDonald's even once promoted their version of a beet burger called the McOz!! Some folks like their beet pickled, most like it right out of the can! Adding pineapple adds a completely different flavor nuance!
