Ingredients For 4th street burger (grain burger)

  • 2 1/2 c
    rolled oats
  • 3/4 c
    whole wheat pastry flour
  • 3/4 c
    sunflower seeds
  • 3/4 c
    sesame seeds
  • INDIVIDUALLY COOK:
  • 1 c
    dry lentils
  • 3/4 c
    dry millet
  • 2 c
    brown rice
  • 3/4 c
    dry bulgur soaked in 3/4 cup water
  • THEN SAUTE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS UNTIL THE ONIONS ARE SOFTENED:
  • 1 1/2 c
    spanish onion, chopped small
  • 1/2 c
    tamari
  • 2 Tbsp
    processed garlic
  • 3 Tbsp
    oregano
  • 1/3 c
    basil
  • 4 Tbsp
    dijon mustard

How To Make 4th street burger (grain burger)

    Mix all ingredients from first section together and bake separately in an oven at 375*F for 20 minutes

    Mix all dry ingredients together and then mix in the wet ingredients. Scoop out individual portions and form into patties. Place these on parchment paper on baking sheets. Bake in oven at 375*f for 25 minutes. Should turn slightly brown and crisp on bottom.

    Recommendations: Serve atop whole grain bun with lettuce, tomato, caramelized onion and organic cheese or fresh avocado.
