Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless sirloin steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound fresh asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 4 cups cooked farfelle pasta (bow ties)
- 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce (i buy diced tomatoes and blend them up)
- 3 tablespoons fresh, lightly chopped basil leaves
- 3 tablespoons coarsly chopped sundried tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup grated, fresh parmesan
How To Make zesty beef with bow ties

Step 1Trim fat from sirloin. Cut beef across the grain into bite size cubes.

Step 2Heat olive oil over medium heat. Saute onions until fragrant and crisp-tender.

Step 3Add remaining olive oil to skillet. Add sirloin. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until meat is no longer pink.

Step 4Return onions. Stir in remaining 1 cup of beef broth and crushed tomatoes. Simmer 10 minutes.

Step 5Stir in cooked pasta.

Step 6Plate, sprinkle with fresh basil, sun dried tomatoes, and Parmesan cheese. Serve.
