  • SEASON THE STEAK

  • 1 lb
    beef round steak
  • pinch
    red pepper flakes
  • dash(es)
    black pepper
  • PERPARE THE STEAK COATING

  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 tsp
    suger
  • 6 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/4 c
    white wine
  • VEGGIE INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Tbsp
    vegetable oil divided
  • 3 c
    broccoli florets
  • 2
    medium carrots sliced thin
  • 1/2 c
    onion chopped
  • 1 c
    pea pods
  • 1 c
    mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • FINISHING TOUCH

  • 1 box
    cooked rice

How to Make Zesty Beef Stir-Fry

Step-by-Step

  1. In a bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar, soy sauce and wine until smooth.
  2. Add beef and toss to coat; set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, stir-fry broccoli, carrots, pea pods and onion in 1 tablespoon oil for 1 minute. Cover and simmer for 4 minutes; remove and keep warm.
  4. In the same skillet, stir-fry beef in remaining oil until meat reaches desired doneness. Return vegetables to pan; toss.
  5. Serve over rice. I used the brand A TASTE OF THAI - garlic basil coconut (6.7 oz)
