yum-yum roast
(1 RATING)
I just threw this in the oven on Easter. I usually am a fly by the seat of my pants type cook (you know - throw it all in and see what happens.) This is simple and so work-free. I'm sure you could add garlic or vegetables, or whatever, but the basic recipe turned out better than I ever imagined. We all loved it - even my mother said, "Excellent."

How To Make yum-yum roast
-
Step 1Place roast into roasting dish. Pour broth and water over roast. Sprinkle with onion soup. Cover.
-
Step 2Bake at 500 degrees for one hour. Then turn the oven temperature down to 250 degrees, and continue to cook for 3-4 more hours. Keep the dish covered the entire time it cooks. Serve. OMG, this is good. Use the pan drippings for gravy or as desired.
