This is my family's favorite Pot Roast. Impressive enough for company too.

Ingredients For winter pot roast

  • 1 4lb
    chuck roast - salt & pepper
  • 1 pt
    fresh mushrooms - slice thick
  • in bowl combine:
  • 2 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c
    red wine
  • 1/3 c
    worchestershire sauce
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2
    beef bouillon, cubes - crushed
  • 2 med
    onions, cut lenghtwise, then into half moons
  • 6 clove
    garlic - slice thin
  • 2
    bay leaves

How To Make winter pot roast

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Spray Dutch Oven with Pam. Place roast in Dutch Oven. Add combined ingredients. Cover and bake 2 1/2 hours. Add mushrooms. Bake 1 hour longer. Remove bay leaves. Serve with Buttered Extra Wide Egg Noodles.
