wine and beef casserole

I love this on a chilly night! It calls for consomme, but I find that too strong and rather salty, so I use broth. You can use whichever you prefer.

Ingredients
- 1 pound stew beef
- 1/2 cup burgundy or any dry red wine
- 1 can consomme or beef broth
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 tablespoon pepper
- 1/4 cup good quality bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup flour, sifted
- 1 - medium onion, sliced
How To Make wine and beef casserole

Step 1combine beef, wine, broth, s&p and onion. Mix flour with breadcrumbs and stir into the meat mixture.

Step 2Cover and bake at 300 degrees for (approx) 3 hours
