This recipe has been in my family for my entire life. It is easy to make, easy to take, and most importantly, easy to double, triple, etc. Does well in a slow cooker or on the stovetop. My grandma always made a huge batch of this every time a family member moved. Grandma got the recipe from her sister who may have gotten it from the newspaper.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Made with minimal ingredients, these whimpies are similar to a sloppy joe sandwich. The homemade sauce gives the ground beef the right amount of sweet and tangy flavor. Onions add a little texture and their unique sweetness. If you have a picky eater that doesn't like onions, substitute with a little onion powder. Serve on a hamburger or potato bun for a quick weeknight meal your family will love.
