So, my dad is visiting and I needed something quick to fix that I knew he could eat. It's cold and rainy and I was not going back out to the store. For a minute I did not know how it would turn out. All I can say is "Look at what God did"!!

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground round hamburger meat
  • 3 can(s)
    rotel diced tomatos & green chiles(10oz)
  • 1 can(s)
    kidney beans, canned
  • 1 can(s)
    pork and beans(10oz)
  • 1 clove
  • 1 medium
  • 1/2 c
  • 4 Tbsp
  • 4 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    crushed red pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    sweet basil
  • 2 dash(es)
    salt and pepper

How to Make Whatever I could find in the cabinet "Chili"


  1. Place ground beef in a med-large pot.
  2. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain all fat except 2 tablespoons.
  3. Add the garlic and onion, cook and stir until tender
  4. Add all other ingredients to hamburger.
  5. Simmer for 1 hour.
  6. NOTE: I actually put everything in the crock pot on medium and forgot about it for 2 hours.
