So, my dad is visiting and I needed something quick to fix that I knew he could eat. It's cold and rainy and I was not going back out to the store. For a minute I did not know how it would turn out. All I can say is "Look at what God did"!!

ground round hamburger meat
3 can(s)
rotel diced tomatos & green chiles(10oz)
1 can(s)
kidney beans, canned
1 can(s)
pork and beans(10oz)
1 clove
garlic(chopped)
1 medium
onion(chopped)
1/2 c
ketchup
4 Tbsp
sugar
4 Tbsp
chili powder
1 1/2 Tbsp
cumin
1 1/2 Tbsp
oregano, dried
1 1/2 Tbsp
crushed red pepper
1 1/2 Tbsp
sweet basil
2 dash(es)
salt and pepper

How to Make Whatever I could find in the cabinet "Chili"

Step-by-Step

  • 1Place ground beef in a med-large pot.
  • 2Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain all fat except 2 tablespoons.
  • 3Add the garlic and onion, cook and stir until tender
  • 4Add all other ingredients to hamburger.
  • 5Simmer for 1 hour.
  • 6NOTE: I actually put everything in the crock pot on medium and forgot about it for 2 hours.
