Great for when you are having a large party. Place the meat mixture in a crock pot and all the individual condiments around it and people can serve themselves and you can go have fun and join the party.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean hamburger
  • 1 package lawry chili mix
  • 1 can whole tomatoes
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1 can black olives, sliced
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1 pint guacamole (homemade is better)
  • 1 package longhorn cheese, shredded
  • 1 - bag of fritos, (small fritos not the big ones)
  • 1 bottle salsa (homemade is better)

How To Make walking tacos

  • Step 1
Cook up Hamburger (break apart). Add Lawry Chili Packet, whole tomatoes, and water. Cook according to the Lawry Chili Packet directions. Add 1/2 cup less water, mixture should be thick like a sloppy joe consistency.
  • Step 2
Chop or slice the tomatoes, onions, and black olives, etc. Buy or make your own guacamole and salsa. Place all ingredients in seperate dishes so people can make their own plate.
  • Step 3
Start with a handful of fritos (this is your base) on your plate. Place a scoop full of the meat mixture on top of the fritos and then top with cheese, onions, olives, tomates, guacamole, sour cream and salsa.
  • Step 4
If making this dish for a party, plan on making alot. Place meat mixture in a crock pot after you cook it, place all the condiments near the crock pot and when you have a party you don't have to be serving everyone, they can walk around and serve themselves.
