This recipe was given to me by my mother in law shortly after I married my husband. It is one of his favorite meals, and even our picky 10 year old loves it.

beef pot roast
2 pkg
brown gravy mix
1/2 c
soy sauce
1/2 c
merlot red wine
2 c
6-8 medium
red potatoes
3 medium
carrots, chopped
1 medium
yellow or white onion

How to Make Velda's Teriyaki Roast


  • 1Place beef roast in crock pot.
  • 2In mixing bowl, combine brown gravy with water. Mix well. Add soy sauce and wine. Set aside.
  • 3Quarter potatoes, chop carrots, and slice onion. Place over roast in crock pot.
  • 4Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Gravy mixture should cover roast at all times. If it does not, add more in the proportions of 1 pkg gravy mix, 1 c water, 1/4 c. soy sauce and 1/4 c. red wine.
