Ingredients

3 Tbsp
butter
1/2 c
corn flake crumbs
1/4 c
grated parmesan cheese
1 lb
veal cutlets or round steak, about 1/4 inch thick
1
slightly beaten egg
8 oz
can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp
dried oregano, crushed
1/2 tsp
sugar
1 dash(es)
onion salt
2
thin slices mozzarela cheese, halved
1/2 tsp
salt
1 dash(es)
pepper

How to Make Veal Parmigiano

Step-by-Step

  • 1Melt butter in 10x6x1 1/2 inch baking dish in a 400 F oven.
    Combine crumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper
  • 2Cut veal into serving pieces: dip into egg, then into crumb mixture.
    Place in baking dish.
    Bake at 400 F for 20 minutes.
  • 3Turn meat; bake 15 to 20 minutes more or until tender.
  • 4Meanwhile, combine tomato sauce, oregano, sugar, and onion slat; heat to boiling, stirring frequently.
  • 5Pour sauce over meat.
    Top with cheese.
    Return to oven to melt cheese.
