I love stuffed cabbage rolls but they took so much time to make. Then I found this recipe and it is so easy to make and taste just as good.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    uncooked rice
  • 3/4 lb
    hamburger
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 can(s)
    tomato sauce (28oz)
  • 1 can(s)
    diced tomatoes & green chilies (10 oz) opt.
  • 1 large
    head of cabbage, chopped

How to Make Unstuffed Cabbage

Step-by-Step

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Cook rice for 5 min. drain. Brown hanburger. Mix salt, pepper, tomato sauce(s). and the rice with the hamburger, simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Arrange 1/3 of cabbage in baking dish, spoon tomato sauce over cabbage, repeate with layers, ending with sauce on top. Bake covered for 1 hr. or until cabbage is tender.
