I love Stuffed Cabbage Rolls. This casserole is just as scrumptious but with less work!!!! This dish freezes well also.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, put through press
- 16 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups cabbage, shredded, shred finely
- 8 ounces romano cheese, grated
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
How To Make unstuffed cabbage

Step 1Grease large casserole dish. Steam cabbage to wilt. Saute beef, drain off fat. Return to skillet and add onion. Heat until onion is tender.

Step 2Add garlic, tomato sauce, salt, thyme and pepper to mixture. Heat thoroughly.

Step 3Place part of cabbage in greased casserole; cover with part of meat sauce; cover this with mixture of cheeses.

Step 4Continue to layer until all mixture is used. Top with cheese.

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
