Uncle Dee was the kindest, most non-judgemental person I have ever known. All of his life Dee had a severe stutter. As a child he was teased unmercifully by other children, so much so that my grandmother let him quit school at the age of 11, knowing that the emotional harm done him far outweighed the lack of schooling. Dee still struggled to talk as an adult; he eventually chose to just not talk at all. Here's to you, Sweet Dee!
