    ground beef
  • 1 can(s)
    tomatoes, drained and diced
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 12
    tortillas, corn, 6 inches
  • 1 can(s)
    chunky salsa
  • 1.5 c
    shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 2 c
    lettuce, shredded
  • 1
    tomato, chopped
  • 1
    avocado, peeled and sliced

How to Make Tostada Grande

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown meat; drain.
  2. Stir in tomatoes, cumin and salt; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Cover bottom and sides of 12" pizza pan with tortillas, overlapping attractively.
  4. Spread with chunky salsa; top with meat mixture.
  5. Bake at 350 oven 20 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Arrange lettuce, tomato and avacado over top.
  8. Cut into wedges using scissors or small knife and serve with additional salsa.
