Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound ground beef
  • 1 can tomatoes, drained and diced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 12 - tortillas, corn, 6 inches
  • 1 can chunky salsa
  • 1.5 cups shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 2 cups lettuce, shredded
  • 1 - tomato, chopped
  • 1 - avocado, peeled and sliced

How To Make tostada grande

  • Step 1
    Brown meat; drain.
  • Step 2
    Stir in tomatoes, cumin and salt; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Cover bottom and sides of 12\" pizza pan with tortillas, overlapping attractively.
  • Step 4
    Spread with chunky salsa; top with meat mixture.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 oven 20 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Step 7
    Arrange lettuce, tomato and avacado over top.
  • Step 8
    Cut into wedges using scissors or small knife and serve with additional salsa.
