My whole family had seconds & thirds! If you have any leftovers, these would make an awesome meatloaf sandwich the next day!

Ingredients

tomato soup
1 1/2 lb
ground beef
1/2 c
fine dry bread crumbs
1
egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c
finely chopped onion
1 tsp
salt
shortening
water

How to Make Top-Stove Meatloaf

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix thoroughly 1/4 cup soup and remaining ingredients.

    Shape into two loaves.
  • 2Brown in skillet in shortening.

    Cover and cook over low heat for 25 minutes.

    Spoon off fat.
  • 3Mix together remaining soup and 1/3 cup water.

    Pour over and around loaves.

    Cook uncovered 10 additional minutes, stirring often, and keeping tops of meatloaves covered with soup
