My whole family had seconds & thirds! If you have any leftovers, these would make an awesome meatloaf sandwich the next day!

Ingredients

  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1 - egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • - shortening
  • - water

How To Make top-stove meatloaf

  • Step 1
    Mix thoroughly 1/4 cup soup and remaining ingredients. Shape into two loaves.
  • Step 2
    Brown in skillet in shortening. Cover and cook over low heat for 25 minutes. Spoon off fat.
  • Step 3
    Mix together remaining soup and 1/3 cup water. Pour over and around loaves. Cook uncovered 10 additional minutes, stirring often, and keeping tops of meatloaves covered with soup
