In our family we just call this the brisket recipe.

  • 3/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 gal
    ground ginger
  • 1
    envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 12 oz
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 3-4 lb
    beef brisket
  • 15
    small red potatoes
  • 1 1/2 lb
    baby carrots

How to Make The Brisket Recipe


  1. Preheat oven to 325
  2. Place brisket fat side up in large baking pan.
  3. Place potatoes and carrots around brisket.
  4. Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour over the brisket.
  5. Cover and bake 3 1/2 hours, basting occasionally. Check for tenderness. Return to oven until tender. Slice and serve.
