The Best Beef and Broccoli

This is one of my favorites. I have also made this in the crockpot, I browned the meat with garlic and onions and made it according to directions but left out the broccoli and mushrooms till late in the cooking process and let them cook to desired doneness. The meat was so fork tender that way. I am about the only one in the house that will eat broccoli so I enjoy this meal and eat too much of this.

Stove Top


1 Tbsp
olive oil
1 lb
round steak sliced thinly into 2in pieces
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
1 clove
garlic minced
onion chopped
2 c
fresh broccoli florets
1 c
fresh sliced mushrooms
1 can(s)
10.75oz cream of broccoli soup
1/4 c
3 Tbsp
soy sauce


1You may want to tenderize the meat with a mallet. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over high heat. Stir in the steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook until beef is almost completely browned. I leave the juice that comes from the meat cooking in.
2Stir in onions and garlic saute until tender.
3Stir in broccoli, mushrooms, condensed cream of broccoli soup, water and soy sauce. Blend well.
4Reduce heat and cover. Cook to desired doneness.
