Ingredients

  • 1 cup thinly sliced leek white and light green parts only
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon red curry paste
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup coconut cream
  • - juice and zest of 1 small lime
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • - romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • - sweet chili sauce to drizzle on top

How To Make thai ground beef lettuce wraps

  • Step 1
    Coat a nonstick pan with cooking spray. Add the leek and cook for 5 minutes than add the garlic and saute 1 minute. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the curry paste, tomato sauce and tomato paste cook 2 minutes. Add the coconut milk, lime juice and zest, brown sugar, and fish sauce. Cook until thickened.
  • Step 3
    Serve on lettuce leaves with sprinkled with cilantro and drizzle with sweet chili sauce.
