We were trying to clean out the pantry and I came up with this recipe. My family reallly enjoyed it.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 slices velveeta easy melt cheese
  • 1 can ranch style beans
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 - garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley
  • 2 cups cooked rice

How To Make texas skillet

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain the grease. Lower the heat medium low.
  • Step 2
    Add the tomatoes. Break them into small pieces with a wooden spoon.
  • Step 3
    Add the corn, rice and ranch style beans. Don't drain the beans
  • Step 4
    Add cilantro, cumin, garlic powder and parsley.
  • Step 5
    Stir to mix well. Cook stirring often until heated through.
  • Step 6
    When the mixture is hot tear the cheese slices into pieces and add to skillet.
  • Step 7
    Stir until the cheese melts and is mixed through.
  • Step 8
    Serve immediately.
  • Step 9
    I served it with tortilla chips.
