We were trying to clean out the pantry and I came up with this recipe. My family reallly enjoyed it.

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 3 slice
    velveeta easy melt cheese
  • 1 can(s)
    ranch style beans
  • 1 can(s)
    stewed tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can(s)
    corn, drained
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 2 c
    cooked rice

How to Make Texas Skillet


  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain the grease. Lower the heat medium low.
  2. Add the tomatoes. Break them into small pieces with a wooden spoon.
  3. Add the corn, rice and ranch style beans. Don't drain the beans
  4. Add cilantro, cumin, garlic powder and parsley.
  5. Stir to mix well. Cook stirring often until heated through.
  6. When the mixture is hot tear the cheese slices into pieces and add to skillet.
  7. Stir until the cheese melts and is mixed through.
  8. Serve immediately.
  9. I served it with tortilla chips.
