Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon worchestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon tabasco or to taste
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper
- 1-2 clove garlic, minced
- 1 bottle 14 oz. bottle ketchup (or can use heinz chili sauce if preferred)
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 cups onion, chopped
- 3 1/2-4 pounds chuck roast
How To Make texas shredded beef

Step 1Place beef in a casserole dish.

Step 2Combine remaining ingredients and pour over the beef. Cover and bake at 275 degrees for 6 hours.

Step 3Remove from oven and shred the beef with two forks. Meat should fall apart easily.

Step 4Serve beef on hamburger buns or serve over mashed potatoes.
