    olive oil
  • 3 clove
    garlic chopped
  • 1 large
    onion chopped
  • 1 medium
    bell pepper chopped
  • 3
    jalapeno peppers chopped ribs and seeds removed
  • 1 lb
  • 2 can(s)
    pettie diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 c
    can or frozen corn
  • 1 tsp
    chilli powder
  • 1/2 c
    uncooked rice
  • ·
    salt and pepper
  • 11/2 c
    any kind of shreded cheese

How to Make Texas Hash


  1. In large pan cook garlic, onion, bell peppers and jalapeno peppers in olive oil about 5 minutes. Then add hambuger meat and cook until no longer pink. Do not drain.
  2. Add cans of tomatoes, corn, chili powder, rice, salt and pepper to taste. Let cook for about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour mixture into a 9x13 pan cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
  4. Take out of oven leave covered and let sit for about 5 minutes. Remove cover and spread cheese over top.
