tex mex burgers

These burgers are so good. I make them all the time. Friends and family always request this when we get together for dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chuck (can use lean ground beef)
  • 5 - hamburger buns
  • 1 cup guacamole, homemade is best!!!
  • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 1/3 tablespoons melted butter (to brush on buns for toasting)
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded tex mex cheese
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper

How To Make tex mex burgers

  • Step 1
    Mix together ground chuck, taco seasoning, breadcrumbs, egg, and worchestershire sauce until combined. Do not overmix!!! Divide into 5 equal patties and let rest until ready to cook.
  • Step 2
    make guacamole!!
  • Step 3
    Fry or bbq burgers until fully cooked. Add 1/4 of shredded tex mex cheese on top, let melt.
  • Step 4
    brush buns with butter and toast lightly.
  • Step 5
    layer bottom bun with guacamole, burger, lettuce and lightly mayo the top bun. Serve and enjoy!!
