teriyaki steak and brown rice dinner

I tried this recipe on a whim and we love it, it is one of our favorites now.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, cut in strips
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 cups minute brown rice, uncooked
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 large red pepper, cut into strips

How To Make teriyaki steak and brown rice dinner

  • Step 1
    Heat Oil in a large skillet on high.
  • Step 2
    Add beef and garlic. Cook and stir until steak is cooked to medium doneness.
  • Step 3
    Add water, teriyaki sauce and rice; bring to a boil.
  • Step 4
    Stir in broccoli and red pepper; return to boil.
  • Step 5
    Reduce heat to low; cover. Simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork.
