Got this recipe from a women I work with and we all loved it. I am thinking of trying to substitute frozen hash browns for the tator tots to see how that works.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds hamburger
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can french cut green beans
  • 1 can whole kernal corn
  • 6 slices american cheese
  • 1 package tator tots

How To Make tator tot casserole

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 degrees F, grease a casserole dish, open and drain green beans and corn
  • Step 2
    Brown hamburger and drain
  • Step 3
    Mix hamburger, 1 cup shredded cheddar, and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • Step 4
    Cover 1/2 of casserole dish with green beans and the other 1/2 with corn. (You can mix both together if you like. I keep separate incase someone doesn't like one of the vegtables.)
  • Step 5
    Spread hamburger mixture over the vegtables. Be careful and try not to move veggies while spreading.
  • Step 6
    Place american cheese slices over top of hamburger mixture
  • Step 7
    In a bowl mix tator tots, remaining shredded cheddar and cream of mushroom soup.
  • Step 8
    Spread tator tot mixture over top
  • Step 9
    Baked uncovered 45 minutes or when golden brown.
