tasty taco pie
Found this recipe on the net and have tweaked to my taste. This is where expression 'easy as pie' originated! Served with chunky guacamole and refried beans. MMMMMM.

Ingredients
- 4 cups tortilla chips, crushed
- 1 - egg white, beaten
- 2 - tomatoes, diced
- 4 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup tomato salsa
- 1 - dollop, sour cream
How To Make tasty taco pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2Coat a 10 inch pie pan with cooking spray. Mix crushed tortilla chips with egg white, then place this mixture evenly on bottom and sides of pie pan to form crust.

Step 3Bake for 15 minutes.

Step 4Place small amount of olive oil in large skillet and cook onions and garlic until translucent, then add ground beef and cook until browned. Then add salt, taco seasoning mix and salsa and mix well. Simmer for about 10 minutes.

Step 5Pour the beef mixture evenly onto the crust. Arrange the lettuce in a ring, around the pie, followed by rings of cheese and tomatoes.

Step 6Slice pie and top with dollop of sour cream. Enjoy.
