tasty pepper steak and rice

My mother in law used to make this. It was always a favorite with my husband so I had to get the recipe. Hope you like it!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds beef sirloin, boneless cut into strips
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 2 - garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup onion, sliced
- 2 - bell peppers, julienned
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 cups cooked rice
How To Make tasty pepper steak and rice

Step 1Sprinkle steak with paprika and allow to stand while preparing other ingredients.

Step 2Cook steak and garlic in butter until meat is brown.

Step 3Add onions and green peppers; continue cooking until vegetables are wilted.

Step 4Add tomatoes and broth; cover and simmer about 45 minutes.

Step 5Blend water with cornstarch and soy sauce.

Step 6Stir into steak and cook until thickened.

Step 7Serve over rice.
