My kids fav.! I think it was orig. a Paula Dean Recipe but Im not sure. It is the only way I make it and this household LOVES it!

bread crumbs

1 1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper
16 oz
tomato sauce
3 Tbsp
white vinegar
3 Tbsp
brown sugar
3 tsp
dijon mustard
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce

How to Make Tangy Southern Meatloaf

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2Mix together the beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce
  • 3Form this mixture into a loaf and place it in a shallow pan
  • 4Stir together the remaining tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar, mustard, Worcestershire
  • 5Pour this sauce over the meatloaf
  • 6Bake for 1 hour, basting every 15 minutes with the pan juices.
