I found this recipe in a very old magazine and just had to try it. We all know anything made with crescent rolls has to be good, right?

Ingredients
- 1 pound browned ground beef
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
- - shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced ripe olives, taco sauce or salsa, to make-it-yours
How To Make tacos wrapped and ready-to-go
-
Step 1Heat oven to 375 degrees. Warm beef in skillet, add taco seasoning mix and 1/2 cup water. Simmer 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
-
Step 2In medium bowl, mix beef mixture and cheese. Set aside until ready to fill the triangles.
-
Step 3Unroll both cans of crescent rolls. Separate into 16 triangles. On a large cookie sheet, arrange triangles in a ring so the short sides of triangles form a 5 inch circle in the center. Dough will overlap. Dough ring should look like the sun.
-
Step 4Spoon beef mixture on the half of the triangle closest to the center of the ring. Bring each dough triangle up over the top of the filling, tucking the dough under the bottom layer to secure it. Repeat doing this around the entire ring. It is ok for some of the filling to show a little.
-
Step 5Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and thoroughly baked. Cool 5 to 10 minutes before cutting and serving slices.
