Here's a dish that is easy to make and budget friendly and very versitle. You can change the flavor of Doritos you use and make a whole seperate dish! My mom started making this for me as a kid and I LOVED it! It's a great new take on taco night!

  • 1 large
can of refried beans(or 2 small cans)
  • 4 c
    mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 2 pkg

  • 1 pkg
    doritos nacho cheese chips

How to Make Taco Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brown hamburger meat in a skillet. Drain. Add taco seasoning to meat and mix until combined. Meanwhile warm the refried beans in a pot until creamy.
  3. In 13x9 baking dish pour a layer of doritos in the bottom of dish. Crush them down with your hands until fairly level. You want the doritos to completely cover the bottom of the dish. Add taco meat on top of doritos. Spread evenly. Add refried beans on top of hamburger meat. Spread evenly. Cover the entire dish in cheese. You don't want to really see any beans under the cheese.
  4. Cover dish with tinfoil. Bake for 15 minutes. At 15 minute mark remove tinfoil and bake for another 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve withfavorite taco fixins like sour cream and salsa!
