  • 1 lb
    lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp
    taco seasoning mix
  • 2 can(s)
    flaky layers refrigerated biscuits
  • 2 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese (8 oz)
  • 1/2 c
    chopped tomato
  • 1/4 c
    chopped red onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped cilantro
  • 1 medium
    lime, squeezed (1 to 2 tablespoons juice)
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream

How to Make Taco Monkey Bread


  1. Preheat oven to 350*.
    Spray a 9"x5" loaf pan.
  2. Cook ground beef in large skillet with taco seasoning over medium-high heat. Cook until meat is browned. Set aside.
  3. Cut biscuits into quarters. Toss biscuit pieces with ground beef & cheddar cheese in large mixing bowl. Pour into prepared loaf pan.

    Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Toss the tomatoes, onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper in a medium mixing bowl.
  5. On a serving plate, place lettuce and invert the bread onto lettuce.

    Top with sour cream and tomato mixture.
